Trista:

So, hey everybody. Welcome back to This Daring Adventure Okay, so welcome to episode 1 27. And I do wanna tell you that I am offering or holding another webinar on August 12th. We are quickly approaching August and so on the 12th again at 7:00 PM Eastern Time. I'm holding a Thrive in 2025 webinar. So we can finish up the last five, four and a half months of the year by that time, strong and focused and ready to get into 2026. I know it seems a little bit early, given that we're just at the end of July, but it's coming up quickly. I'm still amazed that we are at the end of July here, so time passes. So better to be prepared and focused and let's go. I know summer has been a period of rest and relaxation and slowing down and having fun, which is great, but let's get back into it in August, hit the road running in September, finish up the year strong. I find it depressing to talk about the end of the year, but okay, let's just go with it because we've got things to do. Today I want to talk about taking yourself seriously, and I think this comes up quite often and I see women who come to me for coaching and are having trouble taking themselves seriously, which is the bottom line they. Have, we get to this place where we're in our forties, fifties, sixties. We have the space, we have the freedom, we have the time to go after what we've wanted, but somehow we find ourselves stuck in indecision and overwhelm instead of creating momentum. Instead of creating results, instead of creating what you really want. And I worked with a client recently. She had just become. An empty nester. She was calling herself a new free bird and she, had always been telling herself like, when the kids launch, when they get out, I'm gonna get serious about my coaching business and I'll start charging clients in the summer and then the summer. The summer came and she completely froze. Her brain did not comply, and she basically told me that she wasn't making decisions. She was spinning. She had all sorts of ideas, but she wasn't sure exactly what she should focus on and whether she should focus on. Herself more than her coaching business. And she was basically stuck in that swirl of too many options, too many what ifs. And so I asked her, I said, what are you gonna do about that? And she left and she said, well, I guess I'm gonna try and get coached by you. But listen. She already knew the answer. Right. And she had, we had actually coached on this before. The real problem wasn't that she didn't know what to do. It was that she wasn't taking herself seriously. And this makes sense because for years and years she didn't have to take herself too seriously. And by that I mean, you know what she wanted, what she was creating, she was focused on the kids. She was focused on just. Her career doing those things pretty much same year after year. And so now when it came to shift that she wasn't quite sure how to go about it, and we talked about how this energy of confusion, overwhelm half decisions isn't the businesswoman. Isn't business woman energy. It's not the energy that creates momentum when you're in that space of, I don't know, and maybe later. You're not generating power, you're not building the future that you want. You're not creating any of those results that you say you want. And this happens to a lot of us, right? We're waiting for the right time. But when you finally have that bandwidth to pursue your dreams, whether that is starting a coaching business or some other type of business, or launching a career, a new career, or finally getting, creating that version of yourself that you've imagined for years. And yet, instead of taking bold action, we find ourselves spinning, should I do this or that? What niche should I pick? What if it doesn't work? Maybe I can just figure it out later. But before you know it weeks and months go by and you're still stuck. So of course what you're doing isn't working. And my client was doing what so many women do, trying to think her way into clarity. She was gathering ideas, doing research, watching what other people were doing on Instagram, and second guessing herself at every turn, and none of it was working because confusion and indecision feel busy, but produce absolutely nothing. We believe we need more information or more confidence or more motivation before we can start, but that waiting to feel ready is exactly what keeps us stuck. And so what we did instead is I told her, you have to approach your business seriously. You're in business. She was looking at coaching young adults. This is what you're charging and this is what you're offering. Make a decision and deliver on that and then test it. And if it works, great. If it doesn't adjust, that's it. It's not rocket science. There's nothing confusing about it. It's just uncomfortable. It's not easy. You have to put yourself out there. You have to stop playing small. You have to stop hiding out. We also talked about energy because when she described her business to me, she was pretty flat unenthusiastic. And if you aren't excited about what you're offering, nobody else will be either. And I told her, you have to be your biggest supporter. You have to sell yourself on your vision every day. Bring the authority and the enthusiasm that makes people want to listen. And that's what shifted everything, because she realized and she was waiting for inspiration to show up instead of creating the energy she wanted to feel. And that's where her power was in creating that for herself. It's not out there. In business Tuesday at 3:00 PM when no one's watching. That's when you have to create and generate your own enthusiasm. And this is true as much in business as it is in weight loss, as it is in setting any other goal, finding a job, starting a new career, finding a new relationship, anything you want to do, writing that blog post, posting on Instagram, traveling on your own, it doesn't matter. You have to create your own enthusiasm. Nobody can do that for you. And so this is what we do. We stop indulging in confusion and indecision, and we start making powerful decisions, create a plan, test it, and adjust, and most importantly, build the mindset and energy that actually drives results. If you want to create the life you want, you can't sit around waiting to feel ready, decide, commit, go all in, even when it's scary, even when it's uncomfortable, even when it's hard. And when you combine that with, coaching support, you get unstuck faster. You build confidence as you take action and create momentum that compounds. It's work. There are no two ways about it, but anything you want to create is going to take work. And after that initial honeymoon period, that initial enthusiasm and excitement wears off. It's just you and your goal. Are you going to show up for yourself? Are you going to go after it? Are you going to do it? There's no magic formula. So listen, if you've been spinning, if you've been waiting for clarity or waiting for the perfect time, this is your moment. The only thing standing between you and the life you want is the decision to start, and I will tell you that this is the work that I do with my clients every day. I help motivated women manage their mind, make powerful decisions, and generate the energy required to go all in on their dreams. So if you're ready to stop spinning, start creating the results that you've been dreaming of, I would love to help you. You can book a free consultation. The link is in the show notes, and let's get started, because the life you want isn't built by waiting. It's built by showing up with energy, commitment, and courage. Decide that this is what you want, decide you're gonna go after it and show up for yourself. Remember, the Thrive in 2025 webinar is August 12th. The link to register will be in the show notes. I would love to see you there. It's going to be a lot of fun. I think it'll be really useful and as always, if you enjoyed this episode, please take a moment to rate, review, share, and subscribe. That helps me to reach broader audiences, gets this out in front of more women who could really benefit from hearing these messages. So thank you so much for your support.
